About Rory Earnshaw
My photographs express my view of the world, what I’m interested in and how I see it.
I take photographs because I enjoy the process of going out to find subjects, taking the photograph and the following darkroom work.
All of my work is photographed on film, mainly with a large format camera. The prints are all hand made in the darkroom.
My main influences are the classic West Coast photographers as well as some of the quieter European and Japanese photographers.
I am currently working on Contact 49, a series of 49images taken in the 49 square miles of San Francisco.
